This publication is the first of two books covering the assumption by Southdown of the Brighton Hove & District Fleet on 1 January 1969 and features a colour cover and a slight revamp of the text which is now printed on white paper instead of cream as the Southdown 'green and cream' era was, of course, coming to an end in 1969 with the introduction of the National Bus Company.
