Description / West Midlands Buses Preserved- 4 Birmingham Special

Independent Transport Videos would like to welcome you to this our fourth programme featuring preserved buses that served the large West Midlands conurbation. The Transport Museum at Wythall is home to a large collection of buses and coaches. Throughout the year they put on some excellent events, usually with a theme using their own and other preserved buses invited to participate. This DVD programme filmed during 2022 features two such events and majors on the blue buses that operated in Birmingham. The first one being their 'August Bank Holiday' event, an event that featured one of the first appearances of the restored Birmingham Corporation Tramway & Omnibus Company's 1931 AEC Regent with MCCW bodywork. Our second visit took place on the 2nd October 2022. This now familiar feature of the Museum's October programme sees at least ten buses operating a frequently run shuttle along the Old Alcester Road between Becketts Island and Maypole.
