Transport in Sunderland

An unbeatable record of the wonderful variety of trams, buses, trains and ships to be seen in and around Sunderland, mainly in the 1950s and 60s. Marvellous film on local streets, shopping centres, long-gone buildings, factories, changing fashions, the crowded beaches at Roker and Seaburn, and the men and women who worked on the Corporation's buses and trams. This DVD commemorates the 100th anniversary of the electrification of Sunderland trams and their closure in 1954.
