Until its abandonment in January 1960, this was the oldest surviving public railway in private ownership. Using excellent footage taken by some outstanding film-makers, this DVD has been specially compiled to commemorate the 70th anniversary of electrification and the 40th anniversary of closure of the unique Swansea and Mumbles Railway, the first passenger-carrying railway in the world.
