An Illustrated Appreciation: 1 Raven B16's

Starting life in North Eastern Railway days, the 70 Raven B16 4-6-0s were capable engines with some being rebuilt by Gresley and of these, 17 had further rebuilds under Thompson. The class saw front line service until mass condemnations started in 1959. Within five years, the class was extinct. In addition to a broad range of photographs, David Dunn's book also includes information about where they went on works, where the engines were scrapped and on shed and B16 Allocations by shed.
